Re: My opinions
Hi Steve,
Ha, ha, yes you were the one I was referring to in my post, I haven't found another person here who has been successful with fasting for weight loss other than you.
" I must admit I interpreted the posting guidelines as being "stay on topic"
That is exactly how I interpreted them. I never noticed the
Blog Guidelines , as I do not blog, but this is why I think it's good that you brought the question up to the Webmaster. To me "tips and success stories" - "tips and failure stories" - "suggestions" means share your successes, share your failures, share what worked for you pertaining to the subject of that forum you are posting in. I think if you have personal problems aside from the topic of the forum and wish to discuss those problems they should be posted to a forum that is the subject of said problem you wish to discuss.
"The fact that they were off topic is what the anonymous posters were complaining about, and I suspect they were anonymous becase they would like to have continued to support her if she did post on topic, or at least not be seen as her enemy. I don't think there were any evil motives, just annoyance at her posts."
I agree with you on this, I don't think the anonymous posters were not trying to be mean to her, I think that she was in a fragile state of mind and took what they were saying in the wrong way. I also agree with your point that the anonymous posters would like to help pertaining to WF in the future, if they used their names they might be thought of as an enemy.
I think your suggestion with the FAQ is a good one. If it is explained in that way people would be more apt to understand the possible risks of being ignored by people that might be able to help them.
Thanks for bringing this issue to light so that maybe it can be solved and not continue to be a problem in the future.
