My personal view is that if someone posts all the time about all the negative things going on in their lives that has nothing to do with fasting whether it's about a boyfriend or anything else, I think they run the risk of people not reading their posts in the future.

No disrespect to Sacristia, but this does apply to me. If I am looking for water fasting issues to comment on and start reading about boyfriends and religion, I have nothing really to say and just move on to the next post. And if it happens all the time, then as soon as I see the name I skip the message and let others deal with. I can also understand how others get frustrated at that too. Water fasting cannot help fix unrequited love.

So in a case like this I don't know what's right and what's wrong, I can see it from many different angles.

So can I. I must admit I interpreted the posting guidelines as being "stay on topic", this is why I stayed silent for a while. I thought that was common sense, but I was surprised to see that the blog guidelines were the same and there are no rules anywhere that I can find.

Anyway as it is a debate forum I will give my personal view rather than stay silent. I would prefer to see some balance, if people are going on about boyfriends, religion, EFT and so on, on a regular basis, I think it would be OK to let some people vent their feelings and object or discuss a little. Now normally this does happen, but the problem with Sacristia is she is so sensitive, you have to walk on eggshells. Unfortunately because Lauray's dangerous posts were moved so recently, I think people smelt blood, and would like to have ended Sacristia's posts as well, because in their view it was largely off-topic. And Sacristia herself recently apologised and said she wouldn't post again, so I am sorry to say but she made herself a bit of a target. The fact that they were off topic is what the anonymous posters were complaining about, and I suspect they were anonymous becase they would like to have continued to support her if she did post on topic, or at least not be seen as her enemy. I don't think there were any evil motives, just annoyance at her posts.

Anyway, maybe the solution is to add a new FAQ answer to the "how do I create a journal..." question, and say something like...

"Although curezone allows rules allow you to post freely in the forum, fasting issues can be very broad, and some people may not appreciate issues that do not closely relate to water fasting, as they may be of no relavence to the bulk of forum viewers. For example, frequent accounts of going emotional issues, posts with a lot of negativity, and so on, may simply stop people reading your posts altogether. Consider posting these issues to a blog, which you can set up easity. Then you can get the best of both worlds by posting fasting related issues to the forums, and the other issues to your blog."

Perhaps that is not so politically correct, but it is how I feel. But whatever the majority agree with I will abide by.
