I honestly think there is a connection... the term 'unclean spirits' means something...

I have had too many people tell me stories about associating with people involved in witchcraft or other weird stuff and then they find their houses full of bugs, flies, dead frogs, whatever... so why not parasites too... the bible warns about touching the dead etc...
