Re: failure story
OK now I'm getting better and I think have a clearer picture of what happened if anyone is still interested.
The chain of events:
badly fractured nose in early childhood -> malformed sinuses -> increasingly lethal infections which extended into the lungs as well (bronchitis) ->
Antibiotics continuously -> extensive surgery to correct the septum, scrape out diseased sinus tissue, and (unfortunately) remove 4 turbinates(sp?) -> development of asthma -> many more infections &
Antibiotics -> migraines -> etc.
Doc says I should be well (no more sinus infections) once I get past 2-3 months more of migraines. The headaches are actually a problem from the irritated nerves "misfiring" after the infections. To me this sounds good because it's been over a year and a 1/2. What's 2-3 months more? At least it's finite. We shall see. And I am armed with migraine meds which are not
Antibiotics or corticosteroids (Frova and Topamax).
Hopefully this is the end and noone will read more of this story which has dragged on WAY too long. Thanks for all the support!!! I mean it!!! THE END.
