Re: Herring's Law of Healing

Thats great info Cora. I had read something about this in homeopathy books
There is also a similar approach in chinese medicine which is largely to do with energy flow

Homeopaths also regard acupunture, if properly practised, as adhereing to this law
I've read that a principle of TCM is to bring energy down and out of the body as with stress and tension stale energy(chi)accumulates in the upperbody. Also various exercises(qigong) were devised to promote this flow of energy. Many involve sinking
the body whilst moving the hands down over the torso. The idea is too drain the stagant chi out through the arm and leg channels.

So the cause of chest and upper body problems could be to be an accumulation of blocked and stagnant energy due perhaps to stress and tension, and in the lower body energy then tends to get deficient, especially with age, causing weakness here.
MMS in this case is getting rid of the pathogens that may be taking advantage of this stagnacy and resulting disfunction in immunity and so it may aid in clearing obstruction to the channels by the infection

Also external ailmants are treated differently in TCM if proper theory is followed and not surpressed as in Western medicine

This is why I think qigong is so useful and unique and a true path to health
Many may not believe the theory though but it's efficacy is what counts the most
