Whoopsy, I didn't say they are worthless - we've just never needed them (although I have a bottle in the fridge from when I used to use Colloidal Silver ...and I recommend them to folks that still do - as well as people on pharmaceutical killers).
I've never heard of LB17 (it could be great). When I make fermented foods, I let them do their own fermenting without any additions; I prefer (hence recommend) that we let nature do it's thing - then the final result is more likely to be naturally compatible with our natural body.
And I also highly recommend "whatever works for ya" :)
