Re: Male responsability in abortion

Not really sure what your objection is...is it really the abortion $, or "killing" the kid? Since you refer to abortion as killing, I have to assume that's your real issue.

Although abortion is a personal issue you have to address yourself, keep in mind that your child will spend his life having a mother who is a "cold and callus person"? No matter what, she'll be his mother for the rest of his life. Many believe they are thinking of the child when they are only considering themselves; for the sake of the child, be sure this is not the case with you.

If the mother doesn't want it, how will you take care of the child while working? Pay for childcare? Take care of it alone when you're tired after work? Be the mother every child needs? Get insurance, or pay out-of-pocket...babies are REALLY expensive!

In most states, a woman can obtain an abortion without the father's consent. If you don't want to pay, she may find the $ elsewhere. But if she chooses to have the child, you will have to pay child support; tho she claims she doesn't want the baby now, she may make it as hard as possible for you to see it once it's born. And courts don't take children away from their mothers permanently unless they are practically serial killers - courts recognize a child's need for it's mother even if not perfect. That is the reason courts try to keep even abusive parents with their kids by teaching them better. They know kids would rather stay with their own mothers - abusive or not - than relatives or foster parents. Sad, but true.

Frankly, the issues are just starting. Parenthood is about much more than what adults "want".
