In some respects, yes. But most of us live 'in some respects'

"allotted to them by life" , while it sounds pretty fatalistic, and "upstream" gets closer to acknowledging the fact of a karmic stream, of which this incarnation is one 'face' or mask. Waking up to the existence of a mask liberates the actor! And all this creation and manifestation IS acting.

I wonder. I have a great enthusiasm for seeds. They appear to be doing nothing
(sometimes for ages) until they emerge, yet they have a life underground.
