I must totally disagree with you. If spanking shouldnt be done in anger, shouldnt hurt, should only imply the parent is serious, then why use it at all? Spanking is a major act of intimidation, humiliation and it is build on fear. Sorry, you can achieve the same surprise effect by using a naughty corner.... Besides, anyone with children would probably agree that children do make you angry and they can push you to the limit (thats when people think about spanking)- so you would have to be the Dalai Lama to control your anger in so far that your spanking isnt an angry act. Spanking is wrong and does NO good if you want to raise your kids with loving and respectful principles. There is no love and respect in a spank- none.

Some might think its an effective way to treat your kids. If I see a woman in public spanking a kid I get very upset. I dont even spank my dog. Its just not right. Tweet
