Re: Is it a must to avoid meat w/ UT?
I've been on high protein/Atkins style diet for two years - per my medical
clinic. I've read all the garbage about not eating meat while on UT and
for me it's plain baloney. It's when I go off of the Atkins style and eat
carbohydrates that my urine loses it's light, easy taste. I've been doing
UT for about three and a half years.
My suggestion is to begin UT slowly and give your body time to adjust.
You may have limited diarrhea and other side effects in the beginning but after
a week to ten days your urine will smooth out and from there you will be able to
tell what adversely effects it just from its taste. It's an excellent form
of bio-feedback.
Books? I have several. Two favorites:
1. The Water of Life: A Treatise on Urine Therapy,
Armstrong. He's a naturopath who cured everything from cancer to diabetes
and loads of stuff in between. It's about UT fasting. The case histories
are from the 1920s but are just as applicable today as they were then.
2. The Golden Fountain: The Complete Guide to
Urine Therapy by Coen Van Derkroon is a classic and a must read as an
excellent introduction.
Your Own Perfect Medicine is a good book if you can get it for free, but it's
a waste of money. I don't like Martha Christy's protocol, but you can't
deny the results. It's an el cheapo production.
An excellent video is "Urine: Good Health" which is sixty minutes
long and has a few testimonials as well as medical doctor comments. It
includes a guy with AIDS who went completely off of prescribed meds to drinking
pee and his HIV markers went way down, and he felt much better and even gained
weight. There's also a bit about a guy who injects urine. Other good
points too. I have family who I've told that I'm on UT and by loaning them
this video they at least understand what's going on.
It took me a year to take the plunge. I read the books, but the video
did it. I'll never quit - the results are just too beneficial.
Best to you in however you do it.
