Re: water fasting for 40 days?

You could lose that much assuming you have plenty to lose in the first place. You need to be prepared to rest if necessary too though. If there is a lot of detox to do as there often is in weight loss you could actually be bedridden with exhaustion for many days. I often exercise when I'm fasting with great results, however I only exercise when the energy is there and there are many times it's not, even for long stretches of time. Either way though the weight will come off.

The other thing to bear in mind is that you need to allow time after the fast to refeed and allow your body to recover and change back to ingestion mode again. This time especially can be a time of great weight gain if you're not careful so learn as much as you can about breaking a fast properly if you haven't done so already and start planning for it now.

Andrew.
