I certainly understand your concern about Difulcan. It's a very strong anti-fungal that presents some real challenges for the liver if used over an extended period of time. That's why doctors monitor liver enzymes of patients who have to use it for a long time to make sure that their patient's livers are tolerating it. Difulcan might be necessary if the candida has become life threatening, but otherwise, Nystatin works just fine, and it's safe.
