You didn't do anything to attract it. Bad things happen to good people all the time. That's part of life. The question is what do you now not to attract more of this into your life. You can start thinking of what you do have, your blessings, use your gratitude. Look around you at those way less fortunate. Something very upsetting happened to you- grieve it and move forward- and think about that which you want more of in your life. This is the law of attraction. It doesn't mean every negative and bad thing you attract. However, how you respond to each negative and bad thing CAN determine if you do start attracting such things.

Word for the wise- if you have tens of thousands worth of stuff- INSURE IT! Lesson learned the hard way for sure. Now, you may blessed with 100s of thousands worth of things.. great thing though, now you'll know to buy insurance!

As for the heirlooms- that is very sad and unfortunate. Remember though- things are things- treasure the memories and the people and the past relationships. Let go of that which was taken from you. Move forward.

Stop the thinking that you are so unfortuante.
