Re: No it isn't

It is just a different point of view, and you can learn from other's persectives. I talked to the author today and she admits that she is writing for the left. (I know it is considered be horrible be a liberal...but liberal means to be open to new ideas, while conservate means just the oppositie. Look the words up in the dictionary.) Curezone has become very conservative over the last year, so I knew this artlice would raise a fuss.

Actually, there was a very intelligent discussion with the author of this article on KFPK last night...a listener sponsored radio station that is dedicated to freedom, the truth about 9/11, speaking out against the fascist leanings of our current government, and the truth in general.

Ron Paul does NOT refect many of my values...he does NOT support a woman's right to choose among other things. Not even to save her life. (I read this on his web site.) He also does not seem to be all that hot on the separation of church and state, just by that stance alone, although I could not finding anything on that subject point blank. I could not find his stance on guns, either. I was not too impressed about him saying that environmental issues are tied to protecting property rights as corporate entities can easily take advantage of that.

I admit that I am not political by nature and I don't know a great deal about these things. If some of these issues are distorted, say how and why they are. Don't just throw out blanket statements, because certainly they are not ALL distorted, as his stance on women's freedom is very clear.

He is, I suppose, the best we can do. I mean, I can see why you all like him so much. I happen to feel that getting out of Iraq and NOT getting into Iran are the top issues, and he is OK there. Protecting our health care freedoms is also important. But they are not the only issues. It is not so much that I don't see his finer points, I just not afraid to look at his less finer points.

This article, however, is not personal for me. I do not openly support anyone. When the dust settles, if RP is on the ticket I will probably vote for him as he will undoubtedly be the lesser evil - if he keeps his campaign promises - but how many of them do?
