Re: The devil has no hold on a righteous man.
"I believe there's a scripture that encourages congregation in God's name".
Yes, you are right. (an "altruism").
------------------
I am and always was well aware of that and it cannot be claimed by anyone that I ever DISCOURAGED gathering together. This fact is an altruism. Scripture is full of altruisms, and altruisms should simply be UNDERSTOOD, not INTERPRETED by drawing conclusions so that the scripture passage means something else.
Example:
Mark 12:30 IS NOT a command to love God (people think it is because they DRAW A CONCLUSION). Love cannot be COMMANDED or made a law/legislated (this is common sense). Mark 12:30 is a command that we LOVE God with every fiber of our being (and NO FEAR). Our love must be perfected, 1 John 4:18.
MEETING TOGETHER is not specified as a requirement for WORSHIP/devotion, a PERSONAL relationship allows continuous worship in daily life in communion/fellowship with God all inclusive.

I CAUTIONED against limiting a relationship (devotion to) with God by basing it on a scholastic, textual, partisan, and standard (identical to each other) relationship,...it is supposed to be PERSONAL (He knows where you're at in your life right now).

I did not DISCOURAGE, I CAUTIONED (Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood).
In daily life, drawing conclusions CAN sometimes be wise, but not always wise or respectful. Be devoted to TRUTH (objective truth). Let your yes be YES and your no be NO.
