Re: Is liver flushing a gimmick?

Is Liver Flushing a gimmick? No, it is not. Liver Flushing enhances and enlarges the natural functions of the gallbladder and liver and helps cleanse and decongest the organ so it can function better. A clean liver aids in removal of toxins from the blood and improves digestion.

Will a Liver Flush cure you of Acne forever? No, chances are it will not. Liver Flushing is a process of cleansing the body so it can function naturally and once again become self healing. Doing a single Liver Flush will not "cure" anything anymore than washing your face one time or taking a single pill. Becoming vegetarian may help you in the long run, but it is not a cure-all either. Improving skin problems is not so different from every other method to improve health.

1. Diet should be 80% fruits and veggies, most of them raw if you can tolerate raw eating at this time; 10% animal products or high protein vegetable sources; 10%% grains, starchy vegetables, and sweets. Most people do need a source of concentrated protein, either vegetable or animal, and a few simple carbohydrates for quick energy and for the absorption of minerals. However the primary foods should be vegetables and fruits for their complex carbohydrates which provide sustained energy, and essential minerals and vitamins, plus fiber.

2. Water, drink it throughout the day a few sips at a time. Drinking large amounts of water at one time is likely to stress the kidneys and deplete electrolytes. A huge water intake drunk the wrong way is actually more dehydrating to the body than a smaller amount drunk throughout the day.

3. Cleanses, make sure the colon, kidneys and lungs are all working at peak efficiency. Clogged organs of elimination direct toxic waste to the skin, also an organ of elimination, and that can cause a variety of problems. Keep skin clean, but not scrubbed raw, moist, but not covered with grease, and do not use too many antibacterial products, the surface of the skin is slightly acidic and supports a host of beneficial bacteria that help keep the "bad guys" out. Over zealous cleansing with harsh soaps and antibacterial soaps and lotions can make the skin worse.

4. Special needs, when necessary one may need to do cleanses or flushes to address common problems like liver/gallbladder congestion, parasites and candida to regain a healthy, balanced body.

Don't get discouraged, but be prepared to change your life style and be patient enough to allow your body to heal from within. A healthy, balanced body will produce healthy radiant skin; but it cannot undo years of neglect and poor diet over night. It all takes time.
