Re: Off Topic~Thirty Years Ago This Week

I am so sorry for your loss and stand in awe of the strength of your mother.
My mom has been battling colon cancer for 8 years. She has had numerous death
sentences ---two months, any day---you know the routine. She has had all the chemo
and radiation she can have. She has maxed out. The cancer still thrives.
She chooses life and marches through the pain to have another day with us.
I dont blame the medical profession. They are limited by laws, acceptable procedures, insurance, companies producing the medication and macaroons who are
sometimes not good at what they do---as in any profession. I dont blame anyone.
Science is not perfect. Man is not perfect. Everybody dies. I have heard of those
die in your sleep folks, but the lessons my mom teaches daily---strength, appreciation of life, laughter, peace, patience, caring--so many more------well,
I am thankful for the meds and med folks who had a part in extending her life.
We surround her with prayer and love and she blesses us equally. We are on a
limited time--we hear the clock tick. I cant predict what hard times wait ahead---
just appreciate the now.
