Unfortunate judgements

I feel that it is very unfortunate that a person will stand in judgement without actually reading the text using an objective eye. To lambast Molly's insight, regardless of your view of the psychological profession/community, demonstrates undue anger (at whom?) and an extremely narrow field of vision.

I have also received extensive education with regard to domestic violence/abuse academically and practically (from my OWN personal experiences), and have spent countless hours with victims of domestic violence and abuse - male AND female - and there comes a point when PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE (that would be exposure to abuse and the individuals involved) will present typical warning signs, behaviors, and outcomes. This is what Molly was referring to, and not some ingrained sense of "feminism."

Nacissistic Personality Disorder transcends all boundaries of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status, and education. What does NOT diverge from NPD are the behaviors and outcomes, whether the NPD is male, female, spouse, sibling, parent, co-worker, supervisor, doctor, lawyer, or candlestick maker. The behaviors may be more subtle from person to person, but they are all identical in their bait/lure/snag techniques to secure narcissistic supply sources. The NPD makes no differentiation between a spouse, and acquaintance, or a co-worker when securing their supply source and will say (and, DO) anything to insure that those around them will believe whatever it is that they wish to portray, for the NPD doesn't have their own identity and they absorb the reactions (physical and emotional) of their supply sources and mirror what they interpret to be appropriate responses.

I would gently suggest that harsh judgment and the use of "feminism" as an insult to sound insight, practical wisdom, and Survival of domestic violence/abuse is rather juvenile and speaks of a need to educate one's Self about the issues.

Best wishes.
