The "principles" of God, Hebrews 5:12.

Unfortunately, there are many "bibles" in the world that are 'modified'/biased according to whatever "religion" is being taught locally (for a culture or tradition), so it is important that anyone who is not simply a "believer", but a "lover" of God, be 'principled' (conscientious) in their mind ("...be transformed by the renewal of your MIND...", Romans 12:2).

God DELIBERATELY does not define these principles, they are supposed to come from OUR heart and mind/conscience (not from a book, minister/priest/pastor or ANYONE else).

We are to develop a conscience (know who we are) and act accordingly (BE who we are) in a Godly manner so that we can truthfully say "I" am who I am. When our 'principles of conscience' match the "principles of God" (good and right and true, Ephesians 5:9) and we feel/believe that evil is illogical, then we are Godly (we've already accepted His Son as savior).

Jesus did not give His sermon (Sermon On The Mount) for no reason, it is the hallmark of Christian behavior and thinking. Fire from Jerusalem does not yield anything from your heart and mind that will be of any real help to those who suffer misfortune.

When someone steps on your toe, God does not say "Ouch", YOU do. When someone gets hurt, do you go over to them and offer them a candle?

So, what good is a candle (whether or not the fire is from Jerusalem)?
