there are so many symbols in the bible.

it is funny how the israelites worshipped baal and that in hebrew the word for Lord and the word for baal both mean husband. they were truly confused, not so openly rebellious as we are led to believe(just like today!)

also, the worship of a bull figure or calf is interesting. it is the goat which is the symbol of the messiah. read the law according to the scapegoat. the first goat is sacrificed(jesus) and the second is let go to wander in the wilderness. he was the first fruit(which always belongs to the lord), the rest that are in christ are let go. all very interesting.
