Years ago I was a huge milk-drinker and lover of all things dairy. Getting off it was hard as I recall, I craved it for a long time. Now I can't fathom the idea of drinking milk. Ugh! I do very little dairy anymore, and my body tells me right away (mucus) when it doesn't like something. Happens across the board with milk products, with the exception of butter and my home -made kefir, though I will say that when I double ferment the kefir (removes most or all lactose and milk sugar), I do better on it. Oddly, not so with yogurt. Ideally I'd be making the kefir with raw milk, but I don't have ready access to it, so I do use organic whole pasturized milk. I occasionally have a little goat feta or well fermented hard cheese. They do say cows milk is for calves...
