Eye drop makers refuse to trial anticataract eye drops
As you know, there is heavy investment in lanosterol and other sterol eye drops to treat cataract. These are only smokescreens to divert attention away from the real cures, because sterols do not address the root cause of most cataracts (AGEs). Recently, cataract clearance agents have been discovered that, in animal models and on human cataract lens fragments, destroy AGEs and clear cataracts away 100% in just a few hours. But eye drop makers have rejected proposals to make eye drops from these agents, and run clinical trials, because said eye drop makers now make surgical lens implants (IOLs) from which they derive a huge income - much more than they could get from selling eye drops. This policy ensures that those with access to surgery, are still forced to have surgery despite the existence of better alternatives; ensures that cataract sufferers without access to surgery - accounting for 51% of world blindness - continue to stay blind; and ensures that I, who refuses to have surgery since I know there should be alternatives, continue to stay partially blind.
