Re: warfarin for life?

Am looking for anyone that has found a solution to getting off of the "warfarin for life"? My husband had blood clots in his lungs after a simple knee surgery - they took him off of it after 6 months and then a year later he had blood clots in his lungs again - now they say he has to stay on it for life but it makes him so sick - they are not offering any alternatives - Please... anyone out there that has similiar experiences?
