Re: warfarin for life?

I'm a 59 yeaar old male in great shape and I had a tramma to my leg a year ago. It developed a clot, broke off and ended up in my lung entrance as a PE. I also tested for the G20201B Gene and came out pos het. Means that I can clot more than others given a clotting incident like what I had, cancer, birth control, etc. They wanted to put me on Warfarin forever for this. Reluctently, I started.

That was 13 months ago. 3 weeks ago I had a hemorrhage in my leg because of the thin blood. Hell of painful 24/7 went on for 2 weeks and even got worse until the 3rd visit to ER. Finally, they took me off the warfarin. I've decided to go off the warfarin, my regular dr kind of yawned, when I informed him and he wished me good luck.

Im taking aspirin, also, I found that food that has salicytates are a natural way to prohibit clotting. I'm going this route and giving up the monthly testing, worrying about bleeding everything I do something etc. I feel great and free now.
