Hi Chili,
If you are searching for a non-invasive solution/approach to your MSK issue, you may care to consider the following from Dr. Robert Cathcart, M.D.:
"It is my experience that ascorbic acid probably prevents most kidney stones. I have had a few patients who had had
kidney stones before starting bowel tolerance doses who have subsequently had no more difficulty with them. Acute and chronic urinary tract infections are often eliminated; this fact may remove one of the causes of kidney stones....The slight increase in the acidity of the urine from ascorbate, and the slight diuresis, solubilizes calcium salts. I think that high concentrations of ascorbate, by being bacteriostatic in the urine, should prevent many of the niduses of infection around which oxalate stones frequently form."
From my view, Chili, the increased acidity in the urine [from ascorbic acid ingestion] should very naturally have a dissolving effect upon any stones it encounters, plus it is very beneficial with any infections it encounters. I suspect this would be a fairly long-term approach, but wanted to offer it as "grist for your mill." And please remember, adequate dosage is THE KEY.
