hi Erica,
sorry no one answered you sooner. Are you feeling any better now? That is really a difficult experience, my sympathies. I never suffered with that kind of thing, thankfully, but hot boiled water did help me with minor discomfort. But sometimes you just have to grin and bear it, as the old master would say.
Shelly too, the fellow in the videos Rainy posted, had quite an uncomfortable ride, for awhile. Sounds as though your system was still quite congested when you began the fast, alas. I wonder if a castor oil pack would help.
This you would put over the liver and stomach area, more toward the right. And if you have a heating pad, put that, or a hot water bottle over the pack. The castor oil is soaked onto a large piece of flannel or cotton, which you put on your bare skin, and then it's covered with plastic, to protect clothing. Many people wrap the plastic around the body, like, say, saran wrap. You can do a curezone search. It's not complicated--but best you do your own reading on it. It has been a big help to people. The thing with what you are experiencing though, is that it's an overload of the body dumping its waste, while it can't get down and out fast enough, or be 'slowed down', as it would be with eating, so the body is literally throwing it up.
( and/or working on what is still in the tract.) One way or another, eh?
Epsom Salt bath might help, in that it can relax, as well as pull toxins out.
ES in a bath will absorb INTO the body more, so, good for the magnesium, when the moon is full, (or almost, as now)and the body holds ONTO all things/liquid more, around the full moon, whereas, when the moon wanes, it will release more, in an easier manner. This is good to know. That's why I generally like to begin a wf on a new moon or close, when the body is naturally in its letting go and building anew mode, and more able to switch gears/ begin something radically new.
So full moon would be good for the castor oil to be going to the liver, helping it bear the load of toxins it's likely working on.
So, the advice is, try to tough it out.
Have you tried EFT? It is unlike a lot of relaxation techniques, as it is dealing with energy meridians in the same way shiatsu or acupuncture is. But EFT is the perfect DIY helper. There are videos on youtube to 'tap along with'.
If it really gets too hard, I would maybe break the fast gently with some ginger tea--made with real ginger, nothing else and sip this. Then this might allow you to slow the detox a bit, for just enough of a break -- and maybe start back on the water only, after a day or two. That might be the bridge over troubled waters, as it were. Ginger is very good for nausea. And for strengthening the stomach generally. Things should ease up after full moon--though maybe not before. But you can be sure much internal work is being done. It's not wasted effort.
best, Chiron
