Magnesium should definitely help with blood pressure.

I was taking 1500 mg per day via magnesium oil, which turned out to be way to much. As shown in the article, it creates hypo-calcium for those who can't clear the excess magnesium.
This is how it showed up for me, I started to get hypo-calcium symptoms. Hypermagnesium suppresses the parathyroid hormone, thereby creating hypocalcium.

So yes....people with adrenal fatigue need magnesium. But it appears that we can't handle an excessive amount like normal people.
So we almost need to take the exact amount for our needs, without going over too much. Not easy. All you can do is pay attention to symptoms, keep a good log book and adjust.

Looks like my blood pressure is still problematic. I took a shower, shaved, brushed my teeth, and afterwards I noticed I felt really warm. My ears were red and flushed. Checked my BP. 160/102. That's not good. So I've been laying down for the past 30 minutes with a cool damp towel on my head. The lowest it got to so far is 148/82, but then it spiked back up to 170/95. I can feel it spiking and my ears are still flushed. Dizzy spells. Was seeing spots awhile ago.
I hope my body balances itself. I think it will. Any movements I make, especially getting up, raises it. I'll probably end up with a mean headache though, cuz one is already coming on. That shower routine was the most activity I've done in a couple weeks.
I wonder if the magnesium I ordered, which should be here Monday, will help this problem.
EDIT: It's definitely a mineral problem, probably magnesium. I'm getting all these cramps in my feet and toes. My dehydration was all messed up earlier. And I was thinking about cucumbers a lot earlier, so it could be potassium too. Makes sense. Monday can't come quick enough.
Not all magnesium supplements are good. Magnesium oxide is the most common form available since it is the cheapest. But it is poorly absorbed and more likely to cause diarrhea since it converts to magnesium hydroxide in water. Hydroxides are caustic and burn the tissues. This is why magnesium hydroxide is commonly used as a laxative since it burns the intestinal wall leading to an influx of water in to the intestines and increased peristalsis. Magnesium oxide/hydroxide also neutralizes the stomach acid leading to a host of other health issues:

Make sure that the magnesium you use is pre-acidified. I prefer magnesium malate followed by magnesium citrate.
