I was really surprised when I woke up around 7:30, but I didn't get out of bed until 8:00 a.m. My body protested a bit, but I was motivated to get up. So I took my shower, got dressed and I did a little bit of cleaning around the house. I called my mother and told her what Christy and I were doing today. I told her how excited I was to be going to see America English. She told me to have fun, as she was busy and had things to do. I sat and read a bit before I got ready to leave my house.
I got to Christy's house close to 9:00 a.m, and she was up and ready for me. We didn't leave until around 9:15. I told her that I had only gotten $20.00 out of the bank so if we needed more for something I could always get more, but hopefully we didn't need much more. The Rummage Sale was fun. It was at Heritage Hall, which is a little museum, which used to be the old post office. I remember when it was the old post office too. Christy remembers when her father had a P.O. Box there. LOL. There were nice like things there. I found the board game “Pay day”, which was a game Chris Ray and I used to play when we were younger. They had Scattorgies board game too, so I got that one as well. I found a VCR tape of one of my favorite movies “Mister Roberts”, so I bought that, as well as a book about simple quilts. I also bought a brand new ice cream machine (that didn't need ice or salt) for only $8.00. I had been looking at ice cream makers at Oddlots the night before, but decided to wait to buy once since they were $25.00. I think I got a great deal, as I will probably make sorbet with the ice cream machine. And I can make it as healthy as I like too. That is one reason why I bought it. I bought a couple things that Christy was interested in. It was really fun.
We went to Goodwill to see if they had any board games like “Life” as I hoped to find one there. They had Life and a bunch of other games. I bought 3 board games. They were all nicely priced too. ($1.00 and $2.00). I checked all the pieces and stuff. I bought Life, Cranium, and Figure it out. We will have board game night at Christy's!
Once we got back, I found out that Jesse didn't want to go see the movie at the library. They were playing Tangled, so I ended up going by myself. My mother said that I probably would love it. I did! It was lovely. I am going to put it on my list of movies to buy. I am glad that I went by myself. I was wondering if I would feel comfortable since it is a kids movie and there were a lot of kids there, but I wasn't the only single adult there were. There was a another woman there, which was much older then me, and she didn't have any children with her. She told me she wanted to see it, so I told her “me too!” It is funny, in May, the library will be showing “Gnomeo and Juliet”. I might go and see that again too. LOL
I hung out at Christy's afterward, until my concert that I was going to started. We were going to color eggs, but Christy decided to wait until I got back from my concert. We thought it could be no more then an hour. So I took off around 7:30 p.m. so I could get a good parking spot. I took my book “Brisinger” so that I could have something to read while I waited. It was a long wait for the concert to start, but it was worth it. I am so glad that I decided to go. A guy that played the Beatles manager, introduced “America English” and explained the time period they would be first playing from. It was amazing once they got on stage. When they started playing, I felt the excitement bubble up in my soul. I felt like I was 15 years old again. I felt giddy and giggly too. I couldn't believe how much the guy that played John Lennon, looked so much like him! He had the facial structure and everything! I played two songs, but when they started to play “She loves you”, I stared to get a bit weepy as I was soooo darn happy! It was as close to a Beatles concert I would ever get. It was WONDERFUL!!! I even screamed a couple times when they played. I wasn't the only one either. LOL It was lovely! They played some from the movies “Hard Day's Night” and “Help!”. It bought back so many memories for me, as my teenage years was filled with the Beatles and their movies. They had an intermission, and did a costume change, into their Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band uniforms and played music from the album and from Revolver. I did notice that they uniforms were consist to the original Beatles album, but they were close enough. “George” was orange, when originally it was suppose to be red with a hat. It was AWESOME! Then they did one more costume change to go with the Abbey Road Album. It was so funny, because the guy that played Paul, didn't wear any shoes either! LOL They did songs from Abbey Road, but they didn't play any from “Let it Be” They didn't even play that song. I was surprised, but I didn't much care, as I was just happy to enjoy all they had to play. It was a two and a half hour concert. They did one encore song, which was “Hey Jude” which I shouted out “Yay!” as it was one of my favorite Beatles songs. It was so AWESOME. After wards they had meet & greet, which I went to, and I bought a photograph for $5.00 so they could autograph it. I told them they were so great and they kind of made a dream come true for me, since I have loved the Beatles since I was 15 years old. It was wonderful.
I went to Christy's after wards. Jesse was still up and upset because we weren't going to color eggs. I told him that we could do so tomorrow after I got done with church. He wasn't happy, but there was nothing I could do. I told him that I didn't expect the concert to be that long. I went on and on about it with Christy. She just smiled at me, because she knew that I was really going to enjoy it. I definitely did. I didn't get home until after midnight once again.
I drank a lot of water before bed, as I was really thirsty and realized that I hadn't drank any in a couple hours. I was so happy and I think Mekong felt that, because she was all over me. I pet her for a good 10 minutes, while I relaxed in bed. I was so happy and content, that I can't remember what time I “actually” fell asleep. I guess that is a good thing.
