April 7, 2011

I have been sooooOooo busy, both mentally and physically. Of course, all the events that I have planned on my phone has really helped as well. Since I went to bed so early (by 10:30 a.m) I was up with my alarm at 6:30 a.m. When I woke up, I looked at my phone for other reasons, other then seeing if any one texted me. I was more interested in my schedule for the day. I had listed: Work on blog (as I have been so busy, I haven't finished Wednesday's entry on my computer), Buy my TV (I found a prefect one at Goodwill – 20 inch flat screen TV for only $22.00), Drop off applications (both Christy's and my own) and Read my Bible.

It was really funny in the morning, when I wanted to get up and Mekong didn't want to get off my chest. LOL. I told her that we would have a bit of a lie-in on Saturday before my plans of Saturday start. I plan of staying up late on Friday, so a bit of a lie-in will be welcomed on Saturday morning.

I brushed that nasty whitish tongue good, did my hair (haphazardly, as it was a bit curly/wavy and out of control) weighed myself, checked my urine for frothy-ness. My ketones are high, but not at maximum, which might be a reason why I am not feel nauseous like I have in the past. Weight is good, as I can see my little leech of fat underneath my belly button slowly whittling away. Of course, it isn't going as fast as I would like it, but I can see that it is slowly disappearing. I can feel my muscle underneath if more and more. I even did a couple crunches as I haven't done any exercising for a while. I hope to pick up my exercise routine after my fast, as I don't want to tax my energy or my body during my fast. A good thing is that I am feeling pretty good during this water fast. It doesn't seem to be giving much of a problem this time. Yay for me!

I am amazing how much better I have been feeling mentally since I have been really filling my life with things to do. I haven't been thinking about the guy at all, except on lonely drives home, when I realize I am going home and I will be alone again. It doesn't last too long, but I still wonder how him and his son are doing. I sometimes wonder if he thinks about me, which I have an idea, that he doesn't.

Sigh.

Well, work went well, but I was more excited about going to my lunch, so I could go out to Goodwill and buy my TV. I decided when I got up in the morning, and I had to get up and turn my TV off, that I really was going to buy that nice TV, I saw last night if it was still there. I want a TV with a working remote (use I can use the sleep button! LOL). I went out there and it was still there. I thought it was such a good buy, that I couldn't pass it up. It was on $22.00 and it was a 20 inch, which is bigger and better then my little 13 inch VCR/TV combo that I bought brand new about 7 years ago for a $90.00. I will probably move the little TV in the guest room, or give it away if I don't want to use it anymore. I will have to just see. I was able to buy my TV so quickly and easily, that I had time to run to the Salvation Army to check out the clothing for the Ren Faire. I was checking out the long dresses to see if I could find something better the the two dresses I saw at Goodwill the night before. I found a couple dresses, a petticoat like a slip, but the diamond of them all, as the last one that I found just before I was going to leave. I wandered over to the robe section, as I thought I might be able to alter a nice velvet type of robe into a dress when I cam across a PERFECT dress! It even looked like a medieval dress. It was long, and free flowing, but it wasn't wide and full like I would have liked. It had a square neckline , with some cream colored pipping. I couldn't believe it. It was prefect! I decided that I would bring Christy out to see it, since we were already going to be out dropping off our job applications later in the evening. I was so excited that I was a bit late getting back to work. I am glad that the attorneys didn't say anything about it. I don't usually leave the office during my lunch time on Thursdays anymore (before I just packed my lunch so there was no need to), so I am sure that is why they didn't mention my 5 minute lateness getting back (I was still driving across time to get back to the office).

After work, I went over to Christy's and I told her what I found! We talked about it for a bit. I told her that I didn't want to sit up in her apartment too long as I still had my newer TV in the back seat of me car. It was covered with a towel, but I didn't want to take too much of a chance, since I wasn't certain what type of neighborhood it was around her apartment complex. We were chatting away on our way to drop off the applications. I told her that I would love to get a good paying part time job. She joked that I could work for Hooters (as there was a Hooters bus by one of the bars we had to drive by). At first, I thought she was joking but she wasn't. She pointed out that I lost a lot of weight, and seemed to be the weight I was when I was a teenager, I am currently wearing a size 5/6, my bust size is a D, and I look like I am 25 years old. She then said “What guy wouldn't want to stare at you at Hooters. She cringed a bit, because she thought she was going to be smacked by me. I didn't smack her. I was driving, but I wouldn't have smacked her anyway. I was a little shocked. I guess I didn't realize how Christy saw me. I didn't think I looked like I was 25 years old, but by her standards I do. She then told me, if she had my body, she would be using in any way possible to enjoy herself. I laughed at her and joked with her. She knows that I get very edgy when she easily sexualize things,as if it is just common place. It isn't something that I feel very comfortable with since, I am more then just a sensual being, and with my past, I dislike being treated as a sexua| plaything. Christy is so opposite of me, she is everything that I am not in almost every regard. We have joked in the past that I am her Yin to her Yang, as we are very much opposites, but I compliment her weakness, with my own strengthens, just as she does the same with me with. It is a very weird, yet solid friendship. What ever it is , it works, since we have been friends for 25 years.

Still I felt really good know that I look 25 years old. My healthy living (no smoking, no drinking and even more know – my healthy eating/fasting) has really paid off.

Once we got done dropping off our job applications, we went out to the Salvation Army. I almost ran to the dress, as I was so excited to show her. She agreed with me, it as perfect. I picked up dress and the white petticoat-like slip that I found earlier and told her that I wanted to try them on. I even showed her the cream colored wedding dress that had a long train, that wasn't too fancy, yet fancy enough to be pulled off as as a high born lady's dress. Christy thought the same thing. It was a size 4, but I told her that I might be able to fit it and pull it off. I took that, my other velvet burgundy, a small cordroy long full button up dress and the petticoat slip to try on. I tried on blue corduroy dress on with the white petticoat slip first. It was beautiful, and it fit me wonderfully. It was very full, so I could twirl in it and it would fan out beautifully. Christy liked it on me, but I don't believe that I would alter it at all, as I thought I would just keep it as it is and wear it out once in a while. It made me feel wonderful, as it was very slim fitting. It really showed off my figure. I tried on the wedding dress next, which I was able (some how) to put it on backwards. It took me a while to get it off and put it on right. It was a very tight fit, but I fit it except that I couldn't zip up the side zipper. I felt so beautiful in it. I have never tried on a wedding dress before, so it was a bittersweet feeling, yet it was wonderful at the same time. I loved how the dress has a cowl low neck line, that fell off to one shoulder, and my arms were so skinny and delicate looking. The only thing was that I couldn't zip up the side zipper. I showed Christy and she loved it too. She even tried to help me zip it up. We got it half way there, but Christy blamed my big boobs for the zipper problem. LOL. I really hated taking it off, as it made me feel so beautiful, and I wondered if any man would ever see me in something like that. At this rate, it seemed very doubtful, but I can only have hope. The last dress, was the medieval looking burgundy velvet dress. I wore white petticoat slip underneath it. I wondered if the dress would be too big, as it was a XL, but once I slipped it on, it was perfect, as it was just large enough to give it a nice drape to it. It was just enough, that it would look great with a belt, in which I could tuck some of the dress in to show off a petticoat under neath. Christy thought it was perfect too. We then wandered around the store, looking at things for her, and a eye out for a bright blue or something better for a colorful petticoat. Christy found a bright aqua blue skirt that I saw, and thought I would use as a petticoat, but the color wasn't correct for my dress. It was big enough that Christy could wear it so I put it in the pile of clothing, I had. She also found a shear striped shirt (purple, blue, black, red and aqua), that she thought I could make into a a apron type of garment, so she could drape it around her skirt. She then found a long purple like tunic shirt, what she wanted to wear with it. She was going for more of a Gipsy type of outfit, other then medieval, which was her choice. It mean less work for me. LOL Anyway I think I can embellish her out fit enough to pull off a Gipsy look. I found the perfect material for a petticoat too! It was a teal bed skirt, that had a satin like section to it, and then it went to a more muted teal cotton. I thought it would be wonderful, as it contrasted with the burgundy dress so well. So I put that in the pile of clothing too.

When we left, Both Christy and I had our outfits, minus a bit of sewing work, and the accessories like change purses, shoes, etc. At least it is a start!

When we got back to her house, we talked about the new outfits and stuff. I watched a movie and then decided to go home for the night. I still had my TV in the back seat and I didn't want to stay too long, as I didn't want someone to break in my car to get it. So I went home early. Driving home, I was really excited about my new outfit and my new TV. I got my TV in my house okay, but it was some work as it was bulky. I am just happy that I didn't drop it. It took me a little bit to unhook my 13 inch TV/VCR combo, and take it out of my room. I had to make a little bit more room for the 20 inch TV, but it was worth it. Mekong was all interested in my newer TV, which was sitting on my bed, while I was making room for it. I plugged in it and hooked it up to my DVD player. I started a movie, and went and took a shower. When I got back, I was amazed on how huge my TV looked from sitting on my bed. It was a big difference from 13 inches. It seemed like I had my own personal movie screen in my bedroom. For once I found myself watching TV instead of listening to it. It was wonderful! I was very glad that I bought it, as I really believe that I got an awesome deal when I bought it.

The rest of my evening was as wonderful as the beginning of the day was. I don't know what time I fell asleep, as I put my TV on sleep, and it went off, after I fell asleep. LOL Finally!
