More pennies from Heaven
Grandad has now been joined in Spirit by Nanna (whom he used to refer to with much affection as "the missus") and when they visit us they're always together...

I nearly always find them by running over them in the street with my front bike tyre. I stop to pick them up and exchange a few words with Grandad and Nanna -- saying mainly that it's so comforting to know they're still around our little family of 3 generations: proof that love lasts way beyond the grave.
This morning I received my biggest "treasure trove" yet: two 1-euro coins plus two 20 cent coins. This time my front bike tyre didn't run over them because it was poised on the kerbstone. The interesting thing was that I had been riding along the pavement, but decided to transfer into the street; and as I was poised to drop down off the kerb, my front tyre was pointing directly at a 20 cent coin in the street. The other three coins were also lying in the street not far away.
I still haven't solved the mystery of why I find coins so frequently. Do Canarians crossing the street have holes in their pockets that allow coins to fall through?
Or was this a case of Grandad and Nanna wanting me to know they were close to me?
Until the next coins appear, I'll say goodbye...
