Great-Grandad Makes his Debut into Computing
This blog is different from all my previous ones about Great-Grandad. The previous ones were all about something that had happened. And this one is about something that HASN'T happened ...

It's taken 5 days (since my last blog) for Great-Grandad to get in touch again. And this time he seems to have taken a course in computing ...
On Saturday morning Andrew and I were shopping at the local fruit merchant as usual. I had just paid the rent and I had 17.26 euros left in the bank to last until I next get paid by a customer – around the end of the month; I hope it's no later.
The shopping came to 6.99 euros; I paid with my bank card and put the voucher in my bag.
That afternoon at home I knew there was something strange going on. I was looking at my bank account online and that payment wasn't showing up on the statement. This is the first time that a card payment hasn't shown on my account when I checked it; the bank's computer records the movement instantly.
I thought no more of it; just a hold-up, I told myself; just wait and the transaction will appear on the account.
It wasn't until I checked the account today – 48 hours later – that I decided things were decidedly "curious". The money for that purchase has still not left my account, and the balance is 17.26 euros as before.
Well ... they say that crystals and spirit beings can affect the functioning of electronic devices – bank computers, for instance – through their presence close by.
What does it mean? Did Great-Grandad spot that my money had almost run out and decide to "pick up the bill" for my shopping that day?
Did he do this by making the transaction disappear from a bank computer's memory? Does he have it in mind to ensure by some other means that the fruit merchant doesn't lose out?
And is this yet another confirmation that Great-Grandad is indeed looking after Andrew, his mother Valentina and I in a grandfatherly and great-grandfatherly way, making sure we don't go short of the necessities of life?
I can only write what I wrote 5 days ago in this spot. I await to hear again from Great-Grandad, so that he can confirm today's finding, which seems to be a confirmation of what I wrote in my last blog, which in turn was a confirmation of the previous one ...
Meanwhile, it's time to propound another theory. That spirit beings can indeed affect bank computers. And as it's the first time Great-Grandad has shown up in our lives in this particular way, I take it that he's recently finished a computing course in the heaven world ...
I'll be back; I don't know when – that depends on Great-Grandad and his own heavenly timing schedule ...
