No working out last 2 days due to Hurricane Ike, at least in the traditional sense. I had to board up all my windows and prepare for the coming hurricane so I had quite the work out. I ate like crazy. On Friday I ate 3 eggs with bacon and o.j., for lunch a wheat tortilla with cheese and ham, for dinner I ate chicken alfredo with corn on the cob, and for a late night snack, 2 bowls of cocoa pebbles.
We had no power on Saturday morning. We went out to survey the hurricane damage and found a papa johns opens so I stopped and ordered some pizzas for the kids. By the time we got home our power was back on. We were so happy. There are still more than 2 million people without power in the Houston area. It has been estimated it could take another 2-3 weeks before power is restored to everyone.
We spend the day cleaning up all the branches and leaves around the house. I spent most of the day removing all the plywood from the windows of our house. By dinner time I was starving. My wife made some white rice with plantains. It was delicious.
I am going to see if the gym is open today so I can work out.
