Getting back on track...
 
Worked on the mood yesterday, feeling better. Kinda going nuts b/c I skipped my workout. My PS2 broke so I needed to go get a DVD player (I used the PS2 for that) so I can keep up with my workouts. Looking forward to getting back on track today. I’m also trying to put together a schedule that will work for me permanently with my workouts, meaning after my husband gets back. It’s amazing, but when I was in a bad mood, I noticed the incredible amount of ENERGY that went into it, that was just being shot out into the air and wasted. LOA not gonna work well for me today until I fix-a my mood.
 
Grrr in a bad mood today. My hubby is on my nerves a bit and other random stuff, nothing big but mind is not in the right place. Didn’t get my workout b/c my playstation broke (I play DVD’s off of that). I will go out to get a DVD player today and maybe take a drive. I want to put my head back in place.   visit the page

Good Stuff going on!
 
Wow. I just had the most inspired idea EVAR. For reals. I was working on my communications course where I find I already know the material essentially, I just need to speak of it in their terms. As I go through the material, more and more I feel that I know it and have implemented it successfully at work for years and that this information would be very valuable training for employers. I know a guy who is on the ground starting his new seminar business and I suggested to him about expanding it to use this seminar that I would created based on my learnings. Law of Attraction and the method of reappraisal of emotions
 
I was reading some of my textbook from my Speech class, which I think is a barely veiled psychology class for reals. Anyway, the subject was emotional intelligence and common ways of handling emotions. Research has found the most effective of the evaluated methods is called ”reappraisal” which is right along the lines with what the Law of Attraction instructs. I found it interesting. Today and yesterday, had good workouts. I found that when I am eating more than I should/need/truly desire, I can use the method of finding relief/downstream thoughts as described in the book by the Hicks’ that I’m reading (I think it’s called the Amazing Power of Emotions) and get past that urge. Of course, I have to think of it and employ it. Part of the eating urge itself is resistence to using the technique b/c then I don’t ”get to” eat more but when I do it works. Food/exercise has been good. I enjoyed my workout yesterday and today and didn’t eat way too much. I have lots of veggies both days and almost no grains. My ”sweets’ were only grapes. So good day for that, I’m lookin’ in the mirror too much, wondering if I’m starting to see results around the midriff, lol. oooo, sexy ruth is a good thing. :-) I did very good yesterday with schoolwork - left work, went to a starbucks and did some reading, then had the *bestest* salad ever from California Pizza Kitchen, then did some more reading and had an acai bowl for dessert (it is a berry sorbet ...   read more

I did my workouts early morning yesterday and today and I feel good after doing workouts in the morning. My knees feel a little quirky when working out, that’s the only thing that worries me but they also feel quirky sometimes when not working out.... but my back is definitely stronger and do I see muscle tone on my abs??? :-) hee Yesterday after coming home I was quite sleepy and zonked for a bit then got up and wasn’t hungry for a while although once I went downstairs I seemed to want to eat - it was fairly strong for just a habit. Chitter chat about my goals, writing down positive thoughts to point me in the right direction.
 
Last night I felt discouraged for a bit again after messing up. I wish it wasn’t this frequent! But this morning I got up and I did my work out and in spite of not being perfect, I look pretty good in my outfit. I used to say that although I would love a flat stomach and perfect body, etc., I would not be too upset if I stayed where I’m at now for life. Affirming statements to help assist in my path.
 
It has seemed a little like a chore doing this every day b/c I feel like it repeats a lot, like a broken record. So I’ve already stated my intentions. Perhaps I’ll just type some statements each day that should assist me in my endeavors. School: - I am enjoying my classes a lot. I like learning new things and working and thinking. - I am glad I’m able to take these classes and pay for them. I would love to go back to Norfolk, find a good graduate program that works in my geographical situation. I also really want to be able to pay for it without going into debt. Ok, so I succombed to all the tempting food at the training today, so bad me, little set back... Behind on schoolwork still - catch up is scheduled for tomorrow... But today: Hospice Training. Wow. I just don’t know how to describe without using way to many words. It was overwhelming. It’s absolutely where I need to be. This is a major turning point in my life, I can feel it. Today I felt very good about food and that I’m starting to see how the Law of Attraction can work with that and other issues. I’m liking it, yuppers. The thoughts I put down yesterday are working for me. I think I’m lagging a little with school and feeling lazy today... I’d like to get a lot done with school this weekend. Work has been ok. My intentions: to get A’s in all 3 classes, continue to have improvement in all these areas of my life and make some progress on the certification I’m working on. Working with the Law of Attraction for my work, health and school goals.
 
I’m grateful that I’ve had a softer personality at work and I feel that I’m being kinder to the 2 people who I’ve previously been frustrated with. This is good and I feel good about me when I am kinder and more patient. I’m behind a tad in school from where I want to be but the week is more busy than otherwise and yes, I do relax a little. Working on allowing good things for work, health and school.
 
Ok, I’m learning about this whole LOA thing and I’m listening to a book on tape about how to allow. Reading over on the LOA forum this morning helped as well. I was starting to feel desperate about eating again and ready to do another ”diet” to get my weight back down. I usually do that, then try to work on my habits to keep it down, doesn’t work, so repeat cycle. Trouble with eating - how do we use Law of Attraction when we are not already aligned?
 
As other things are going well, this blog and my attempt to use the Law of Attraction seems to be focusing in mainly on my food issues. I hope that this doesn’t bore the poo out of people reading but I also hope that somehow by writing out these things maybe I’ll either figure something out or get some guidance that points me in the right direction. My issues with food continue... is there any end?
 
I’m feeling good about most of this stuff: not so much with my progress on food. The scale is up a little, but I am not sure if it’s ’cause I’m doing something right or something wrong. The exercise program says over and over make sure to eat enough; lots of people have trouble eating enough since it’s so intense that they ”bonk” - run out of steam. So the scale has gone up a little for me but I don’t know if this is good or bad overall. Stating my intentions for work, school and health
 
I spent some time visualizing today. I think that helps. I feel good about what I’m doing for my health so far and eating was pretty good: had some treats but resisted the urge to keep mindlessly munching. I was feeling good and grateful that my body does let me know when it is content and that I am aware that I don’t need so much food. I was also feeling pretty good about school. I was visualizing and had some moments of doubt about my ability to fulfill what I consider my financial obligations to contribute to bills & such when going to school. Stating my intentions for work, school and health
 
Yesterday I did better with eating and I’m on week 2 of the P90X workout. I am sore all the time, but I can handle this for a few weeks. Hopefully as times goes on I won’t be sore constantly. It is a good reminder that I’m working out better and more consistently then I have in a long time, and I’m excited to feel fitter. I like morning workouts because they totally suppress my appetite. I’ll have to see if I can handle that once work starts (today is a holiday).
