Hi all -
I've never posted but am at the end of my rope and just hoping to hear from others on what to do. Ive had my B-cycst for over 4 years. I had it drained twice but it was so painful and it came right back so I was determined to never have it drained again.
Over the years, I've tried every home cure I could find but I've had success with none. I'm currently a single parent working full time so there is no way I can spend hours taking site baths and sitting with hot compresses. 15 minutes in the bathroom is a luxury. I had read a lot about apple cider vinegar so I bought tablets and liquid. After 2 weeks of taking 1 pill in the evening and applying ACV to cyst with cotton ball (usually leave it on 15 min or so), I'm seeing no change except the cyst is starting to become painful but no change in size (is that normal? Does that mean it's getting ready to drain? I have no idea but today, it hurt). I also get headaches and feel sick and have tightness in my chest when I take the pills for about half of the following day so I want to stop.
But where do I go from here? I've tried the calamine lotion, tea tree oil and witch hazel on a cotton ball - no luck.
I'm reading a lot about Colloidal Silver but would like to hear from others. I feel like everything has either made it worse with other bad side effects or had no effect on the cyst at all. I'm thinking I may have to just have it drained again by doctor but really, REALLY don't want to. It's uncomfortable to sit at a desk all day and sex is very painful. Plus I've had this thing for years, I'm ready for it to be gone.
Any advice or info on Silver, apple cider vinegar or anything at all would be greatly appreciated. -

My Bartholin's gland cyst finally drained!!!
Hi. I have had reoccuring cysts over the past 20 years. I have had them drained in the past, but the last few I have let it run it's course. This last time I'm not quite sure if it was infected or not. It was about the size of a walnut and really uncomfortable. I tried everything. The calamine, witch hazel, tea tree mix. Homepathic, everything. This time I was doing the whole30 cleanse. No sugar, grains or dairy. I'm pretty sure that is why it never got too big or painful. But it seemed to linger longer than ever. about 3 weeks. Anyway, I was doing sitz baths but it never helped. At the very least it felt good. I guess I was lazy about buying epsom salt, so I didn't use it until the very end. I picked up some Dr. Teals form the super market. The detox/energizer one with ginger and clay. So I soaked in it for about 20 min and went over to my boyfriends house. Woke up at 3 AM and felt wet. It drained!!!! It was reddish pink. Anyway, I continued to soak and kept it very clean. Haven't had sex yet since he left for a 10 day trip the next day. So it gave me plenty of time to let it heal. It didn't drain much after that at all. I pretty much sqeezed it all out. It felt like it was there still a tiny bit, but not bothering me at all. I feel like it's always just there a little waiting to rear it's ugly head. But I soaked in that same epsom salt this morning and i noticed later in the afternoon I was feeling it again. I went to the bathroom and noticed some pink on the tissue. It was draining again. I jumped in the tub with some more epsom salt and sqeezed it all out. And now it's completely gone. So, I think that epsom salt is the answer to my prayers. I'm going to continue to soak in that at least once a week or post sex for sure to help it drain. It's amazing. I found it the cheapest at Walmart. I ordered 10 bags! I also truly believe for me that I get these when I'm not being honest about my feelings or feeling guilty. I think there is a huge emotional component to this. So soak in this and resolve and process your issues. And hopefully we will all be free of this beast! Does anyone know why there is blood when it drains?

This helped me the last two times
As soon as I felt a little swelling down there... I took two Advil cold and flu/ advil cold and sinus then sitz bath with bath salts and massaged the area. I continued taking the advils as if treating a cold. It kept it from going full blown infection and not as painful. The third day I massage the area again and the puss came out.

I started getting cysts in my groin, about a week before giving birth, followed by cysts just like what you described post-partum. To me, this indicates some kind of hormonal imbalance. Perhaps it is similar in your case as well? I began regular accupuncture at about 7 months post-partum and haven't had any return.

I'm on day 8 of suffering the most painful and debilitating thing I've ever experienced. What started out as a bartholin cyst (only my 2nd in 5 years) turned into a huge angry red stingingly painful lump that limits my ability to walk, sit, stand, use the bathroom, sneeze, cough, laugh...anything really! I am so so so sick of this! I've tried Epsom Salt sitz baths, I tried that Phoebe's method (OMG did it burn!!! and made it worse) I'm taking serrapeptase, I'm taking Systemic Health instead of Antibiotics (has raw garlic, goldenseal, etc)I'm putting a green salve on it each evening made from plantain and comfrey, and I'm spritzing a water-based spray of lavender & tea tree oil in my underwear every time I go to the restroom to keep the area somewhat clean. I bought some activated charcoal capsules and goldenseal powder to mix with kaolin clay to make a drawing salve that I'll try tonight. Can anyone think of anything else? I really don't want to go to the doctor but I'm almost at my wit's end! -

Bartholin Gland Abscess incision never healed?
Hello. I had a Bartholin gland abscess about a month ago. I went to my gyno and he made an incision to drain the fluid/puss. It's been a month since the word catheter fell out and my vagina has still not healed. The swelling and pain is gone, but the incision never closed up! I have been "leaking" fluid and some blood from the incision since the doctor made it. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if it is serious? Also, I've accidentally released gas through it multiple times. (You know how it is, holding in a toot to avoid embarrassment in a public place). My incision releases the gas though and it's quite annoying. Also, four times, there has been blood in my bowel movement. Not sure if this is related to my abscess or not.
Has anyone else gone through this?
Should I be concerned with anything?
