I have always enjoyed the effects of low dose lithium. then why on my hair test did I have a low level of lithium if its so toxic... its a trace mineral that is supposed to be in your body. I am talking about the natural mineral... not the synthesized form of the mineral. From what my naturopath says there is a HUGE difference... the natural form (orotate) has no side effects compared to the synthetic or aspartate forms. Did you try the orotate form? From my experience which was no effect and others who said it really doent work until toxic level are reached and then they said it as debilitating and took the life out of them altogether! It been around forever with mixed results! I also heard it had something to do with potassium level and somehow effecting the electolites! Seems to me a good mineral supplement would be better or at least safer!   [End]

hello I am now taking a combo of evening primrose oil/and flax seed oil and also started Serenity (lithium orotate) that I found on-line--I am feelin’ great--maybe it’s a combo of the two!!! I and my sisters have all battled depression for ever---maybe not anymore!!!! Hey guys. My depression is dysthemia/ADD/anxiety. I seem to be lowest in norepinephrine but also in serotonin. I take St. John’s Wort, which helps a little, and L-tyrosine that helps too. Hi Pete, I have found lithium orotate to help a little with my depression as well (possible bipolar disorder as well). I seem to think most of my depression is related to serotonin though, and lithium orotate increases serotonin levels in the brain as one of the actions. I have recently added the amino acid 5htp and that seems to be helping as well with increasing my serotonin, I have felt better the last 4 days I have taken it. My pdoc says they have had really good luck with lithium orotate for bipolar and 5htp for depression. Just wanted to ask when you say 15mg lithium orota ...
