Lithium Orotate slows nerve firing. It mellows out the mood stemming from a hyper-active brain, one that may in general be low on other trace minerals, an ennervated brain low in especially magnesium. I would suggest lithium builds up the brain when you stop using it because the under-firing dendrites trigger more brain cell formation, possibly compensating for brain shrinkage from, say, childhood abuse. You can't "build up the brain" and keep damping down neuron firing with lithium. Correct me if I'm wrong. You're stepping on the gas and brakes at the same time. I'd suggest lithium for victims of abuse; and further suggest that such people need supplemental DHEA, especially the KETO-7 form that doesn't form other hormones, to feed the exhausted adrenals as needed. I would suggest only supplementing with lithium orotate intermittently to get the full effect. Thanks. GBU
