I have read about the new findings regarding gut bacteria and obesity and have discussed this with my daughter, so am aware of the possibilities...I suspect that many illnesses for which we have labels for are bacterial, viral or parasitic related. But guess we won't really know for years to come and after much research. Wait in the meantime or experiment with zapping etc?

I would do neither. I believe there is sufficient data and evidence enough to enable a very inquiring and skilled mind to provide solutions for these problems. All it takes is determination, patience and a strict method of logic afterwards, in my opinion.

I have suspected this could be coming from the cats and had planned on taking them next week to be washed and dipped with a natural solution that has been recommended for such infestations. Only then can I really get this place cleaned

Washing and dipping them in any solution should not be enough, because most likely they harbor internal Infestation(s).
