Is there any other way of explaining his behavior though? Not to grasp for explanations but there must be some options.
Sometimes if you can't leave a situation the next best thing is to understand it. Sociopathic behavior is one possibility but there must be others. At least to weigh options. Resolving oneself to the idea that your life-time partner is incurable and will likely never change and that you likely will never fully understand his issues can be hard for a wife to wrap her mind around.
