Re: Suicide, what happens after death anyone guess.
Every human being, irrespective of their beliefs according to the God of the bible, has been created with an eternal soul. Anybody who believes in Christ knows that one does not simply cease to exist after they die, whether or not they reject Him. Creating us with an immortal soul means the soul does not come to an end. Though one can certainly be dead to grace if they insist in rejecting God and persist in sin, they do not cease to exist. This would be preferable to our ears of course rather than the alternative, but believing this simply because it's more comfortable does not make it so (according To Christ it doesn't). Christ spoke more of Hell than He did Heaven and for good reason. Not wishing that anybody should perish, but that all come to salvation. He is not the monster, love of sin and deliberate evil intention to continue in it is the monster and the outcome thereof. When one deliberately rejects God and embraces sin and remains reprobate, they ultimately choose all things that are opposite of God and His goodness. Christ died for every human being that has ever existed and will ever exist. We can reject Him, or we can accept His free gift of salvation which is for everybody no matter who they are or what they have done. The sufferings He endured were absolutely horrific as to cover even the most terrible sin imaginable. His sufferings were also beyond imagination and all this He went through so one could be saved. Christ Himself was closest to the suffering of this world. The rejected, the sick and most wretched. He alone knows our pains intimately.
As for suicides? I do not know what happens. Suicide is not mentioned clearly enough in the bible to be certain of this. Murder yes, suicide? no. Murder and suicide cannot always be compared as the same thing. Suicide is often the outcome of a tormented mind/body/soul and so often by illness of some kind. The intention of the person usually not to "murder" or cause deliberate pain to those around them, but rather ultimately escape the pain itself.
Murder is the deliberate taking of a life for an evil intention. You cannot even compare someone who has defended their own life and possibly killed someone in the process. The outcome "taking a life" maybe the same, but the intention and act becomes a different matter.
All things are taken into account by God. The intention behind the act itself, the circumstances, the situation, the person's mental state, upbringing, everything in its entirety.
HOwever, I would be very weary of ever treating suicide as a way out and deciding to give it a go... becuase one cannot be certain either way what really happens. But I would also not completely despair of a suicide in your own family/friend. It is known only to God alone how far His mercy extends. he is outside of time and nothing is hidden from His eyes. His judgement is perfect.
I direct this to those who believe in the God of the bible. No offense to those who are of another faith or even no faith.
