Re: Why has cleansing never worked?
I would say no, not if you are outside long enough. Do you get sun in the winter too? I was reading that those with long dark winters most like have deficiencies even though they get enough summer sun. Vitamin D takes a while to build up since it's fat soluable, if you are depleted from a long, dark winter it can take up to two to three months just to get back up to normal levels only to have it depleted again when winter comes along. So its possible that one might not be seeing the full health benefits if they are using up what little they stored up from the summer.
I had a bone scan done last week and the dr. was telling me about how she could not get peoples bone to become strong without vitamin D and that it took about three months of very high supplementation for some people to get their vit D stores back up to where they noticed changes in their bones and other health symptoms (symptoms besides bone loss). She said calcium just doesnt work without vitamin D, that calcium supplements alone did not stop bone loss. This is someone who monitors patients bones for a living.

Have you tried calcium? I had tried the calcium. mg, and vitamin D seperately with only minor changes in my skin and other symptoms, but when I combined them WOW, I saw changes from the very first day. They work synergistically for sure. If I cut back on the calcium for more than a day I get more of those pustules so I know forsure that calcium is helping with those. Calcium is the skin calming mineral -without my skin looks ruddy, splotchy and red, with it its silky smooth with no inflammation at all. I'm amazed at how quickly I turn splotchy if I miss a day of calcium. I carry some in my purse Im so afraid of going low. Now if I get too much calcium I notice Im too dry and my skin is inelastic so I up the magnesium and Im back to normal. There is a balance that can not be overlooked when taking supplements. Its easy to go to far in one direction, too much Mg and my skin gets awful.
heres a pubmed summary on calcium and wound healing
