Re: without disagreement or critiicism, how can there be HELP? impossible. n/m
I'm all for healthy disagreement - it's a valuable tool in reaching agreements, to be sure. The Moderator that was watching this thread moved it before I even asked, I imagine, because the heated discussions were becoming a bit personal. Now, this thread certainly isn't as ugly as some previous posts became, but I'm thinking that the Curezone shakeup (electing mods, etc.) is going to take some time to get accustomed to.
Hopefully, the discussion can continue, but without the rancor - I was almost compelled to respond to the OP that has adopted such a personal dislike with me, but he's got his own row to hoe. He feels vindicated in his complaint and accusations, and that's fine - but, I take issue that he has chosen to malign my intentions and that, I feel, is the crux of this whole nasty episode.
I remember asking for "any advice" on a particular health issue and someone responded with their suggestion of urine therapy. Of course, I had never heard of something so bizarre in my LIFE, and I replied in a seriously sarcastic tone - well, that set the stage for an avalanche of criticism which, for the best part, I deserved. So, from that experience, I learned to ask my questions very carefully! Finally, it became so silly that I felt that I should apologize for being so flippant with the beliefs (no matter HOW distasteful I might find them) of someone else.
