Isn't that how we all become more aware...bit by bit? Interest in better ways, maybe an echo of something we came across long ago, an instinct, an Aha! moment or two, gradual acceptance of evidence, small experimentations?
Probably this route seems exceedingly slow to someone like R.G....but better gradually than confrontation and retreat into denial.

P.S. One of our biggest obstacles is overwhelm, I think. It can sink us for a long, long time.
Even if our mistakes really are unthinkable, we came by them honestly, truly not knowing any better.
It is a leap to accept that parasites are not only real, but that there is an easy way to reverse the situation.
Experimentation brings us gently to the point of, "Oh, for goodness' sake...is that all I have to do? Why didn't you SAY so?"
And then, our best friends just smile enigmatically...ever patient.
It's a process.
