I left that little teaser dangling hoping to stimulate some thinking around this issue. So what do parasites do as a rule? They hide. They are sneaky. They steal energy. They are persistent, pernicious and pestilious (new word?).

After reviewing these qualities I came to realize that they are symbolic of the Shadow. Yes the Shadow. And what is fascinating is that the emotional qualities of people with parasites parallels the shadowlike emotions that are reflected by the parasites themselves!!!

A person who is 'scattered'. A person who is hiding. A person who is sneaky. A person who is stealing energy. Lots of them around no? (like lawyers and politicians). This is a theory mind you but there is a thread here.

Anyway getting back to the reason why parasite remedies are put on lower shelves and hidden away in my opinion is SHAME. People do not want the stigma or shame of reflecting on the possibility that they might be unclean or harboring little nasties.
Horror of horrors! How many people are even willing to do persoanl clearing such as shadow clearing? Let alone pest removal and internal fumigation.

It's interesting to see how the qualities of parasites are surfacing through our emotions and directing our actions too. I do think that as above so below. Once the awaremess of the worms and germs gets out (like in the mainstream consciousness and Oprah is signalling that) then maybe we will start seeing major cleansing of corruption on larger more global levels too. I think the movement is underway and this parasite (and Shadow) awareness will continue to grow.

So hopefully this smaller issue of personal clearing and detoxing will become a larger more global issue.

I suggest we lobby for a Parasite Awareness Week. Maybe we could have a stamp to commemorate it too!!!
