Candidate suggestions

Hopsino would be very good, and Grz, Sandover, Southern Belle, people who can maybe distance themselves a bit more.  I think some people are too close to this forum to be able to be unbiased about moderating, which might not be a problem or might possibly end up being slanted much like the Moreless forum became, which I don't think anyone wants to see.  I think of the four largest contributors here, V, W, U, T - that V, although he certainly has the ability to incite, might be better able to distance himself emotionally to be decently unbiased about it if put to the test and if he agrees to the standard.  Bu---uut, he is certainly controversial to some, as is Trapper and Uniquity and I don't know if that is the type of personality you are thinking about for being "moderate".  Wombat gets my vote for every other forum BUT here, as she is completely head over heels in love with it, and liable -- as a moderator -- to suddenly elope.

(Passion does not always goes hand in hand with somber judgement, sadly.  Just ask my ex.)

Ooh, also a thought, Ladylove.  I liked the way she approached her question in the debate forum.  Very moderat-ey.  There are probably a dozen other people that are knowledgeable, equable, temperate and read in here but do not get caught up in the drama.  Come outta the shadows!  You are the people we need.   I don't read enough in here to know, but the people who READ in here know who they are.  Speak up.
