Re: Sprouting Lentils!

Yes I do sprout lentils but i dont heat them.I prefer to harvest lentils earlier than most of the other sprouts I grow.2-3 days in an easy sprouter make for more suculant and tender lentils.3-5 day lentils are very fiberous and chewy which makes them less palatable to me.Sometimes sacrificeing yield for palatability is a good thing.Alfalfa has a great yield at day 5 but is sweetest at day 2.I just got some black oil sunflower seeds for growing greens with.I seen a pic. of them in a hippocratesgreenhouse.com.It looks like I should be able to grow them just like the grasses Im currently growing.Once I get the sunflower down Im gonna take a shot at buckwheat greens. What type of sprouters are you using?I love my eaysprouters so simple and easy. The sprout bags work well for beans I use then when I need to ramp up production. Is broccoli difficult to sprout and are radish sprouts really hot?
