Re: more info and anecdotes on Lobelia tincture

Following on to what Uni just posted on Lobelia. Among the considerations she mentioned is the ever-present "bio diversity" we each need to keep in mind; yes, we people mostly share the same basic construction design, BUT, we all end up treating / feeding our body's a bit differently one from the next, so we all are likely to experience slight differences in the way certain things react inside us.....like herbs.......or medications..... or "food".... or air or "water".

There is an aspect of Lobelia Tincture that I personally have been tryign for about 2 years now to better home in on and understand myself. The interesting thing that I've learned so far about Lobelia is that it can be used for all kinds of different ailments AND the thing that tends to make the difference when using Lobelia for one ailment versus another is the situation with  DOSE in combination with a given person's bio-divsersity.

Here is an anecdote from Dr. John Christopher that I now know by heart, in part from having posted and re-posted the same many times now. Please, read it!

This anecdote taught me several things, chief among them that vomitting, especially CONTROLLED / SUPERVISED vomitting, in and of itself CAN BE a huge medicinal / healing method. For myself personally, there is a significant limitation I have with respect to wanting to be able to learn how to use Lobelia for my own controlled / experimentation purposes for treating bronchial disease; I live alone. It is for this reason that I have been slowly, gradually homing in on where the hair trigger might be with Lobelia Tincture and my body. Since I live alone, I generally am trying to avoid, every so carefully, getting onto the OTHER side (the vomitting for 3 hours side) of this hair trigger. To be honest, I really wish I had somebody close enough to me that understood and appreciated things like Lobelia and Dr. John Christopher, and his use of Lobelia Tincture as described in the above anecdote...... but I don't. I really would like to have somebody oversee me using Lobelia Tincture to intentionally cause me to cough and spit and vomit up who knows what?, for 3 hours or so, from my bronchials and lungs and stomach..... but I live alone and do not really know anyone open minded enough to help me entertain this endeavor.

In the present, my careful experimentation with Lobelia has gotten me up to a dose of just a bit under 1 teaspon full (measured with a graded measuring shot glass), and I can repeat this dose within the hour..... and there is still not much to write home about as far as reaction. This is both good news and bad news. The good news is, I really do not want to get on that other side of the hair trigger by myself. The bad news is, while I remain on this side of the hair trigger, I have yet to find an increased dose that provides me much in the way of significant benefit (loosening) to my bronchials....somehow, some way, my particular bio-divsersity is, my bronchials are quite anally retentive, for whatever reason, my bronchials have, for most of my life, been of the mind to realllly reallly want to hang onto their $hit. I think I understand some of the reasons for this - part heredity, part my own ill lifestyle choices, part "luck".

Meantime, I am still in pursuit of the happy Lobelia Tincture medium....whereever this may be or not be this side of the hair trigger :)
