Lobelia, strength/dosages, etc. Re: Ipratropium bromide, ALBUTEROL sulfate

Yessireebob...lack of sleep (and especially oxygen!) are pretty much necessary (lol). I understand completely!

>>>I appreciate the input Uny, but I DID try lobelia - maximum dose for 5 days,<<

Grrr, that makes me wonder two things: 1) how much was the 'maximum dose'? And 2) capsule or tincture? and were either from any of the sources I recommended.

Reasoning? I have recommended Lobelia to 5-6 folks with bronchial issues in the past, and ALL of them purchased theirs (tincture) from either Dr. Schulze (who may not being producing it any more) or Southern Botanicals/Health Freedom Resources. ALL of them had both immediate AND long-term relief. So I have to guess/assume that maybe you didn't get an effective product or you didn't take enough.

As I mentioned in the earlier post, Lobelia is KNOWN to be one of the herbs that when 'packaged for sale' has the tinctures made FAR too weak or the wrong parts of the plant is used. Capsules are invariably 'both bad' and tinctures are notoriously weak.

Lobelia is a slight sedative. EVERYtime I take ANY amount I feel a slight calm...a 'standard dose' (my tincture from SB/HFR) lists a "dose" as 5-15 drops, 2-4 times daily. In an emergency (which I would consider a bronchial spasm/asthma 'attack' to be) the dosage is 2-5 droppersful (a dropper equals approximately 30 drops...so that would be 60-150 "drops"). The 'emergency' amount CAN cause sweating or nausea - but I'm of the mindset that I'd rather have those, than ingest a cumulative poison. (of course, that's totally individual).

So, in my mind, if you never felt calm/sluggish/tired/sedated (at the VERY LEAST), or if you never had any sweating or slight nausea...(I've experienced all of those personally...as have all the people I've reccommended it to - which were far more folks than the ones I've suggested to for bronchial/asmthma issues...Lobelia is also used to assist in stoppiong smoking, all varieties of seizures/spasms, AND as a natural calmer)...then your product was worthless OR you didn't take enough.

Of COURSE, we're ALL different - and EVERY drug/herb/supplement has different effects on us as individuals. I just want to make sure you have all the information you can, so you can listen/hear your own 'Doctor Within'.

Also of course, if you took dosages high enough to experience the 'typical' signs of dosing and you got no relief, it's definitely time to look elsewhere (or use it as a 'supporting' product), depending upon what you ascertained of the effects.

'Hope that helps some...and if you already knew all that, at least it's in print for others :)

Uny
