I just found out I had a hemangioma on my liver. I was asymtomatic and it was found through an ultrasound. Also probably there since birth. I can tell you that sometimes I would have just a beer or two and felt extrordinarily bad the next day. I just thought I couldn't handle my alcohol. This sheds a whole new light on the subject though. What I would like to know though is mine is small (two centimeters) how likely is it that it will grow over time. My DR told me that I have to have a routine CT yearly in order to monitor it. Is this standard? Does anyone know what % of hemangioma's increase in size over time.
