There is explicit knowledge, such as the journal articles from the MD's that we've seen. But there is also a great deal of tacit knowledge of the group, which has come from their many experiences and their knowledge of that explicit information, which gives rise to new tacit information. What you're wanting to do, I sense, is to reduce the "new tacit information" to an explicit form, and transfer it to others. I had posited elsewhere in the past that an essential aspect of the knowledge and technology transfer process (KTT) concerns the cycling between tacit and explicit knowledge, which can be used as a metric in measuring the level of KTT.
The information needs to be assembled in a format that can be readily understood by its targeted segment. Going back to the beginnings of this forum and seeing what postings caused people to become more curious may provide some clues as to what the essential elements are.
