In knowing God, what do you choose as your objective?
Is your objective...
1) to be a master of bureaucracy and text?
2) to acheive the status of intellectual master and "king of rituals"?
3) to redeem your conscience with the self-righteousness of compliance to COMMANDS and to imagine yourself to acheive "perfection"?
or is it a warm and tender personal relationship with the your heavenly heritage so that His blood flows through your veins and that you are one with Him? Is He your wildest dream or can this world compare to a personal relationship with Him? How much do you love Him? I'm sure you can list many ways, but can you love Him as much as a child? In the name of love (your own [personal] sense of love), would you DARE not comply with what He HAS (past tense) said? We are to approach Him as a child.
Very often, children dare to NOT COMPLY with what their dad has declared to be "the rules" because the child has such complete faith that THEIR LOVE for each other can and will ENDURE infractions.
My personal relationship with God will not be based will on COMMANDS (my love will not entertain SUCH FOOLISHNESS), my personal relationship is based on LOVE (yes, The Lord has driven me mad, and I let Him).
It is not only the reference point that determines a journey, it is the OBJECTIVE also.
What is your objective?...imagined perfection,...or the heart of God within you?
